Lisbon's Color Palette

Interior designs have always had an influence on me, as it manipulates my emotion through intentional atmosphere. Lisbon’s textile, blew me away. Walking down the street there are hundreds of intricately designed and saturated garments. Portugal's love for color can be seen in the bold choice to paint their building in pastels and the artist's personal choice to paint their tiles with a contrasting color palette.

    Boldness of color

This aesthetic does not live for the maximum benefit of society, but it thrives off of individuals artistic vision, this is down to the brushstrokes on their tile. Often the easy choice is to go for a palette of neutral tones, because it gives the option of customization for others. However Lisbon was filled with color, I found this inspiring. The attention of detail and confidence seen in the variety of color, allows the artist to assert their possession of that asset. I found this approach to interior and exterior design encouraging, as it makes me want to become bold in my vision.

Encouragement for attention to detail
Tile work has been a part Portuguese society since the 15th century. Throughout the centuries, Portugal belonged to many different governments, the influence of Western Europe meshing with North African culture leaves one cohesive aesthetic.
